Spray Notes Terms
Version 1.0 · Effective 13 October 2026
View previous versionsSpray Notes are how you celebrate a look you love, and how creators earn from their style. This page explains how buying, spraying and withdrawing work.
1. What Spray Notes are
At a real owambe, people “spray” money on the dancers they love. Spray Notes bring that spirit to Owambe Meter: they are in-app celebration items you send to a look to say “this one is special”.
Please read this part
Spray Notes are not money in your hands. They are not naira or any other currency, not e-money, not a bank deposit and not a voucher. Notes you buy can only be sprayed inside Owambe Meter: you cannot cash them out, transfer them or get them back as money, except where the law requires a refund. What turns into money is a creator’s earnings from paid sprays, under the rules below.
2. Your balances
| Balance | What it holds | What you can do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Ready to spray | Notes you bought, plus free Notes we gave you (for example a welcome gift or a promotion). | Spray them on other members’ looks. Bought Notes are always used first. Spent Notes are gone. |
| Earnings | The part of other members’ sprays on your looks that was paid for with bought Notes. | Withdraw the naira value to your own bank account, under the rules in “Earnings and withdrawals”. |
| Rewards | The part of sprays on your looks that was paid for with free Notes. | A mark of appreciation only. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, sprayed or transferred. |
3. Buying Spray Notes
- Price. Notes cost ₦10 for every 100 Notes. They are sold in packs, from ₦500 (5,000 Notes). The price of each pack is shown before you pay.
- Payment. Bachs processes the payment on its secure checkout page; we do not receive your full card or bank details.
- When Notes arrive. Notes are added only after Bachs confirms the full payment. If a checkout is cancelled, expires or fails, you are not charged and no Notes are added. If you paid but your Notes did not arrive, write to support@owambemeter.com with the date and amount.
- Refunds. Because Notes are delivered straight away and can be used at once, purchases are not refundable, except for a duplicate or incorrect charge, or where the law gives you a right to a refund.
- Chargebacks. If a payment is reversed or charged back, we remove the Notes it bought. If they were already sprayed, we reverse the earnings they created and may restrict the account that made the payment.
4. Spraying
Sprays come in fixed amounts: 50, 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 or 50,000 Notes. A spray can carry a short message, and you may send it anonymously so the creator and other members do not see your name (we still keep the record). You cannot spray your own looks. Sprays are final: they cannot be cancelled once sent.
Each look shows how many Notes it received and, for sprays that are not anonymous, the top sprayers.
5. Earnings and withdrawals
When someone sprays your look with bought Notes, you earn 50% of what those Notes cost (₦5 for every 100 bought Notes). The rest covers payment fees, running Owambe Meter and keeping free features free. If we change this share, we will tell you before the change applies to new sprays.
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Hold period | New earnings are held for 14 days after the spray, so that disputed or fraudulent payments can come to light before money leaves. |
| Minimum withdrawal | ₦5,000 at a time. One withdrawal can be in progress at once. |
| Fee | A ₦50 bank transfer fee is taken from each withdrawal; the rest is sent to your bank. |
| Your bank account | A Nigerian bank account in your own name, checked with the bank before it can be used. You need an email address on your account to set up payouts. |
| Review | We review every withdrawal before it is sent, usually within one working day. Payouts are made through Bachs. |
| Failed payouts | If your bank refuses a payout, the money comes back and your earnings are restored, so you can try again or change your bank account. |
We may pause, decline or reverse withdrawals and earnings where we reasonably suspect fraud, fake or linked accounts, sprays traded for money or favours, a payment that was reversed or charged back, a breach of our Community Guidelines, or where the law or Bachs requires it. If we decline a withdrawal, the earnings return to your balance and we tell you why, unless the law prevents us.
Earnings are income. You are responsible for any tax due on them. We or Bachs may need to confirm your identity before paying you, and may hold payouts until that is done.
6. Rules
- No trading. You may not sell, trade or gift Notes or sprays outside the app, or offer money or anything else in exchange for sprays, votes or earnings.
- One person, one account. Using several accounts to pass Notes around, spray yourself or inflate earnings is fraud. We will reverse the earnings and may close the accounts.
- We keep an accurate record. Every movement of Notes and earnings is written to a permanent ledger. If a balance is ever wrong, we correct it with a recorded adjustment, never by silently changing numbers.
- We can change the feature. We may change prices, pack sizes, spray amounts, the creator share or the withdrawal rules, giving reasonable notice. Changes do not affect Notes you already bought or earnings you already have, except where needed to stop fraud or to obey the law.
7. When an account is closed or deleted
Notes and rewards belong to the account and have no value outside it, so any balance is lost when you delete your account. Withdraw your earnings before deleting your account: you cannot delete it while a withdrawal is on its way, and earnings left on a deleted account cannot be paid out. If we close an account for breaking the rules, we may hold its earnings while we investigate and keep any that came from fraud.
We keep the accounting record of past purchases, sprays and payouts, without your name, email or photo, because the law and sound accounting require it. See Account Deletion.
8. Questions
